Discover the most affordable SUVs on the market

How about putting into practice your plan of buying a leisure car to see the natural beauty of Brazil and, why not, the world? The best part is that you don’t even need to spend a fortune to buy a 4×4 SUV.
For the price of a more equipped compact hatchback, you can find some interesting 4×4 SUV options to ensure hassle-free access to dirt roads.

Because a clean car doesn’t tell a story. So let’s go and check out our list below:
Renault Duster Dynamique

For between R$60,000 and R$69,000, you can take home a 2017 Duster Dynamique 2.0 4×4. The model has the same basic look as the 4×2 versions, but combined with a more powerful mechanical set, centered on a 2.0 flex engine with 143/148 hp (gasoline/ethanol) and a six-speed manual gearbox.

Suzuki Jimny

Suzuki’s small 4×4 is a good choice for single couples who like to explore more extreme routes than those possible with a regular 4×4. A good example can be found in the R$69,000 range, although there are units for lower prices than that.
The 85 hp 1.3 gasoline engine is combined with a five-speed manual transmission. The construction with a traditional chassis instead of a monoblock is combined with a 4×4 traction system with low gearing. Not to mention that the look is practically identical to the new car still sold at Suzuki dealerships.

Ford EcoSport 2.0 Freestyle

The Ford EcoSport was once one of the darlings of the Brazilian market. For just R$64,000, you can find a Freestyle version.
We cannot ignore the fact that Ford’s compact SUV is an affordable 4×4 option. The all-wheel drive system came with a multi-link rear suspension, which helps ensure driving pleasure on the road. The engine is a 2.0 flex with 141/147 hp (gasoline/ethanol).

Subaru XV 2014

For those who want to go a step further and look for a premium brand option — with its positive and negative points — an interesting option is to opt for the Subaru XV. For less than R$70,000, you can take home a unit from the 2014 line. But for less than R$75,000, you can already find cars from the 2016 line.
Built on the same base as the Impreza sedan, the SUV features the company’s well-known 4×4 traction system combined with the iconic 150 hp 2.0 boxer engine.
